This bread is the source of modernity, its creation allowed our attention to be turned elsewhere, towards industry, towards the sky and moon, towards design and sensors. It has allowed better living through a never-ending sustainable supply. Through this manufacturing we have brought an end to the riots that prefaced so many revolutions. Let them eat bread. Conversely, in the wake of this invention food deserts have emerged, populating themselves across cities. These deserts constrict choice and encapsulate large portions of urban populations. The desert is the progressive depopulation of worlds.

What we wash this bread down with has become a necessary luxury. Consider the Oceanic and the transformation of the body to a plastic mold. This transformation forms a certain lackadaisical identity based on the bottle in your hand. Fluids joining fluids and image joining image. We are expected to work harder and faster. Electrolytes, protein, caffeine and taurine all helping to make you more human than human. Along with this comes the promise that this fluid has not yet been touched by human hands. This has lead to the exponential creation of artifacts, to the confounding of future archeologists. 

Here is my body and here is my blood, a transubstantiation constructing a moldable neo-spiritual awakening. Everything and everyone becomes an actor or an agent in its own right. We sit evermore on a Worldless stage.
